For the purpose of our services, we are partly obliged and partly compelled to record personal data. In our Privacy Statement we like to explain how we handle the personal data of our (potential) customers (parents and children). Where data of children are processed only with the consent of the parent/guardian. In doing so, we comply with the General Data Protection Act.

Within Stichting Kinderopvang Huizen, photographs and images of children are actually used for three purposes:

  1. Photo and visual materials for the Parent Portal. Through the Parent Portal, parents are informed of the progress of their child’s day. This is done partly in text and partly accompanied by photos or videos. Generally, individual photos/movies of the child are shared through the Parent Portal. However, other children may be visible or their child may be visible in a photo/movie in other parents’ Parent Portal.
  2. Photo and visual materials for external communications (website kinderopvanghuizen.nl, various social media, advertisements, brochure, poster and flyer materials, etc).
  3. To coach our pedagogical staff in communication and interaction with the children, we work with Video Interaction Supervision (VIB). This is a methodology in which, on the basis of video recordings during work, the employee’s development is discussed in a follow-up discussion. These video recordings will be used only for VIB and not for other purposes and will be deleted immediately after review and reporting.

In our photo and film policy you can read about the permission policy for these and how we ensure that we handle them with integrity.

We view a complaint as a learning and improvement opportunity. Therefore, we always take these very seriously. Our Complaint Regulations for Parents and Parent Committees tells you how to easily file a complaint.

Interested in the nature and amount of complaints we had last year and how we handled them? Then read our Complaint Annual Report 2022 Child Care Foundation Huizen.

Our organization has a responsibility to respond effectively to signs of child abuse and domestic violence. Since July 2013, we have been working with the domestic violence or child abuse reporting code. The reporting code contains a clear roadmap outlining how to act when there are signs that may indicate domestic violence or child abuse. In short, this includes:

  1. Mapping signals.
  2. Consult with a colleague and possibly consult Safe House.
  3. Conversation with parents and stakeholders.
  4. Weighing the severity of the child abuse or domestic violence.
  5. Deciding whether to seek help or report to Safe House.

More information about this reporting code can be found on
this page
from the government.

In our organizational annual report you will read a reflection of the previous year.
Highlights, goals, achievements and highlights are discussed.
The most recent organizational annual report can be found here.
