National Reading Days 2021
The most fun reading days of the year from Wednesday, Jan. 20 to Saturday, Jan. 30.
Reading aloud is incredibly enjoyable and fun, both for the child and for parents. But reading aloud is not only fun, it is also very important in a child’s development. Reading aloud has numerous positive effects on children’s development. Both emotionally, cognitively and socially. The earlier and more regularly children are read to, the greater the benefits.
Fortunately, a lot of parents agree and about 90% of children between the ages of two and five are read to a lot.
COCO CAN DO IT! Was voted picture book of the year.
The locations open for emergency care for children ages 0- 4 were pleasantly surprised last week with a brief visit from the Huizen Library. A staff member from the library came and brought a goodie bag that even included the mini version of the little bird COCO.
