On June 18, 2022, the Port of Huizen will be bustling with activity
Kinderopvang Huizen will promote itself at Huizer Havendag with a team of enthusiastic employees.
They will offer an activity throughout the day which relates to the theme “Get the plastic soup out of the ocean.
There will be crafts with waste materials; children can make these crafts float in water.
Sensational FlyBoard show, Optimist sailing for the youth, supping or a tour of the harbor.
In addition to demonstrations performed by various water sports clubs, there is the opportunity for youth to sail Optimist boats for free. But a free trip through the harbor of Huizen by sloop is also possible.
Supplanks are available to introduce everyone to the inexpensive practice of this water sport. The Huizer scouting group will be present with canoes and several boats.
New this year is the 100-year-old historic sea sloop from Naarden coming to Harbor Day. Coastal Rowing Naarden will also be present with several boats.
Fair and Harbor Market
Visit the fair and harbor market on Energy Road overlooking the harbor.
Music and harbor concert
During the harbor day, there will be several musical fill-ins on the stage opposite the Rescue Station.
Huizerhoofd Marina
On the marina grounds you can find several water sports clubs that enthusiastically talk about their sport. Demonstrations will also be given.
Botterwerf
At the botter yard, volunteers from the Huizer Botters Foundation are working on the restoration of one of the botters. Learn more or take a trip on one of the historic botters. In addition, the Botterwerf is organizing a“botter-pulling” contest around 11 a.m. in Huizen’s industrial harbor. Super fun to see!
