Autumn is the season to get out into nature with children. Delight in the woods! Then with all the found leaves get to crafting!

– Have you already seen it, the real autumn classic? The red mushroom with white dots? Dive into the forest with the family to spot as many of these gnome houses as possible.


Have the children find the most beautiful autumn leaves from the forest for their own autumn garland. On the leaves you can draw patterns with a white highlighter, then hang them on a string.

When you think of fall, you think of POMEPS. You can hollow these out and make the most beautiful candlesticks. Tip: did you know you can roast the pumpkin seeds and munch on them?

Take your little gnome to one of the Forestry Commission’s forests, in Baarn you can buy a route. All children will receive a gnome hat and knapsack for the road with fun tasks.

Treat the birds in the garden with

. Make a beautiful bird pie out of bird food or a yard-long peanut garland.

Hold a cool fall photo shoot with kids. Fun to do and a great memory for later. Ask the children to throw a big pile of leaves in the air AND click.

You don’t see them very often, but chances are there’s a hedgehog living in your yard. Hedgehogs love to build a nice warm nest in the cold months. Lend a hand and build a house out of wood!

Challenge your children to an autumn challenge with DUPLO/LEGO. Who will build the coolest gnome house?

Let the children decorate their own cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream. What do you guys throw on it? Mini marshmallows, sprinkles, shake biscuits, nuts, cookie crumbs … That’s going to be tasty!

Make your own healthy

. All you need is a hard-boiled egg, a cherry tomato and mayo. Place half a tomato on the egg and dot white dots on it with the mayo. Delicious, a red mushroom with white dots.

Store glass

and have the children paint them with fall colors. Light in it and you have autumn atmosphere on your table or windowsill.
