On Sept. 1, the coronavirus app called CoronaMelder is scheduled to be introduced nationwide. The app should complement the GGD’s regular source and contact investigations and enable people to stop the spread of the virus. Before the app can be used everywhere, final practical and safety tests will be conducted in the near future. The Personal Data Authority is also forthcoming with its opinion.

Use of the app is completely voluntary and no information about you or your location is stored. Moreover, people should never be forced, directly or indirectly, by anyone to use the app.
