In recent weeks, the staff and children of Kinderopvang Huizen reached out to others. With our Good Deeds action with the theme “Today I’m here for you!”, we give children the awareness to be there for others.

The children, under the guidance of our staff, took various initiatives to be there for another. This year’s focus was on the elderly and lonely.

Some of the initiatives

The children of preschool ‘t Houtwurmpje made wish bags. They could give these to someone they wanted to let know they were thought of.

Or craft a lucky owl out of leaves. To give to a single elderly person, for example.

Baker Kruimer received a beautiful drawing booklet from the toddlers of ‘t Krekeltje. Because he comes through all kinds of weather to bring the delicious sandwiches.

And the children of bso Toevlucht made cards for sick people at Meander Hospital.

Thus, we pass along that doing something for another, not only makes the other person feel good but also yourself!
